I don't think it helped because i tried flashing stock rom with fastboot after i did that and it didn't work UNTIL i flashed stock rom on OrangeFox. (this is just because Ive accidentally screwed up my device by flashing aosp recovery image) do. I also copied persist.img onto my device using adb and flashed it in OrangeFox. I want to also add some additional things that I did, I don't think this helped solve the problem but just for posterity. Move stock rom onto phone using adb (adb push ) Wipe and format everything on device (Wiping and formatting are different things, you need to do both)

Download OrangeFox recovery for your deviceīoot into Orangefox using fastboot command (fashboot boot recovery.img) ISSUE IS FINALLY SOLVED, steps I took below (these may not all be necessary but this is just exactly what i did)ġ. My bootloader is still unlocked (obviously i guess lol ) I'd really appreciate some advice because taking my phone to a retailer or someone who would fix it isn't something i can afford to do currently.Īfter flashing my stock rom through the MiFlash a loading bar came up on my phone and it gets to about 2% before quitting and going into the bootloop. I've gone through about a dozen yt videos, quora/reddit/web pages and tried every trick that i know of but my phone is still stuck in a bootloop. I tried flashing pixel experience again manually through CMD using fastboot but i just get stuck on the redmi screen.Īt this stage I don't know what else to do. It said the flash was successful but I'm still stuck in a bootloop, I tried flashing twrp again and booting into it but to no avail. I downloaded the official MIUI flash tool and the stock rom for my device and went through all the steps I saw online. I fucked after trying to flash twrp and my phone wouldn't boot into the OS any longer. Support for my phone on pixel experience became discontinued and i was having some issues with my data signal so i decided to switch back to the latest stock ROM (MIUI12) to see how that would work out. Took me a long time to figure this out for some reason, always got frustrated with being unable to execute some simple commands and gave up on it.The phone i'm using is a redmi note 9s that was previously running Pixel Experience smoothly. Might have to repeat these steps if the commands stops working again.

One thing I must mention before this is that I also installed the "QDLoader HS-USB Driver_64bit" drivers, on W10 this will now display some "Test Mode" text on the lower right because these drivers are not signed by Microsoft. However this still didn't work and I have tried it before, you know why? I my case it's really f-ing weird. I guess you can skip the root requirements for now and look at the flash command used: fastboot flash:raw boot twrp.img Next I tried flashing fastboot flash boot twrp.imgīut it still didn't work and got the "Couldn’t parse partition size ‘0x’".īut I thought to myself how can this be, one command works and the next just fails like that all of a sudden.

I tried to flash the newest (and some older) twrp recoverys (twrp-3.0.2-0-onyx.img) with fastboot and it worked fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-onyx.

Also rebooting to recovery from Android did not work and showed the same problem. So I have one of those and tried a command, and it worked. As I tried to reboot to recovery it only showed to normal boot screen and nothing happend.

Which mentions something about the Windows 10 drivers being problematic, so it is suggested to use a USB 2.0 adapter or something similar.

Really running out of ideas on this one, i've already tried numerous things and keep getting a variation of these "Write to device failed" errors all the time. I also tried some commands like "clear cache" and "reboot bootloader" but they produce the same kind of error. Sending 'recovery' (16104 KB) FAILED (Write to device failed (Unknown error))
